The Edge of the Map
The Hunt-Lenox Globe was made sometime around 1510. The softball-sized, bronze-alloy orb is the earliest surviving globe dating from the period just after the discovery of the New World. Sea monsters and ships dot the seas among intricately carved waves, hinting at tales of adventure and danger, loss and discovery. The Great Unknown.
